TL;DR
The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete is more than just a flagship robot vacuum; it’s a paradigm shift in autonomous cleaning. Tackling the industry's two biggest hurdles—high thresholds and unreachable corners—this powerhouse features a revolutionary ProLeap suspension for climbing and dual bionic arms that extend to clean nearly every inch of your floor. Boasting a massive 42,000 Pa suction power and 100-degree mop sterilization, the "Complete" package also includes a generous stash of maintenance accessories for long-term, hassle-free operation. While the premium price and methodical cleaning speed might give some pause, its ability to navigate complex homes with pets and tricky geometry is currently unmatched. Is this the first truly autonomous vacuum capable of finally replacing your manual chores? Dive into our detailed breakdown to find out why this might be the ultimate upgrade for your smart home.
It seems to have become a trend among manufacturers of robot vacuums to release “complete” versions of their models, most recently seen with Roborocks Saros 20 Sonic Complete. If you happen to think that Dreame and Roborock are quite similar, you’re not wrong; both largely use the same sub-suppliers and naturally keep an eye on each other’s innovations, while simultaneously maintaining proprietary software and certain unique software and hardware solutions.

During my weeks with Dreame’s new flagship Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete, one impression has stuck: I am genuinely impressed – and I have tested countless robot vacuums over the past decade. Historically, robot vacuums, despite their obvious advantages in simplifying – but not completely taking over – daily cleaning, have struggled with two major Achilles’ heels: the inability to reach properly into corners and difficulties in overcoming Swedish door thresholds (which are admittedly unusually high). After previously running, among others, Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller, I am now struck by how Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete not only solves these problems but does so more efficiently while operating noticeably quieter (a maximum of 65 dB was measured in auto mode). This could very well be the first robot vacuum that truly feels fully autonomous.

Recently, Isabelle reviewed the standard Dreame X60 Ultra here on senses.se – an extremely capable machine that can currently be found for just under 10,000 kronor. The question then is: why should one even consider the “Pro Ultra Complete” version, which is launching at a hefty 16,990 kronor? The answer lies in the substantive and measurable hardware upgrade and the package, which feels exceptionally well-stocked.
Performance and navigation
A geometric breakthrough
While the base model X60 Ultra boasts a suction power of 35,000 Pa and a threshold capacity of 8.8 cm, the Pro Complete version ramps up the performance. The suction power here is a staggering 42,000 Pa, which, combined with the new HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0 (dual rubber rollers), means that the pickup of deep-seated dust and hair should occur entirely without strands getting tangled.

However, the biggest difference is the Dual UltraExtend Arm technology. Instead of just extending the mop, the Pro model features bionic arms with dual joints. The side brush can extend a full 12 cm and the mop 18 cm. The system analyzes furniture legs and baseboards in real-time, and the result is that the robot now physically handles nearly 90 percent of all corners and edges without issue, leaving rooms significantly cleaner than it found them. It’s not quite perfect yet, but it’s getting close… When will we get a duster to wipe the top of the baseboards?
Furthermore, we have the chassis. The new ProLeap system with independent wheel suspension lifts the entire robot, allowing it to effortlessly climb double level differences of up to 10 cm, or single door thresholds of 5.2 cm. Despite this advanced mechanics, the robot measures only 8.9 cm in height, thanks to its LiDAR laser tower being retractable once again, allowing it to get under quite low sofas and beds.
Mopping and automated station
Like its smaller sibling, the Pro Complete model washes its mops in the base station with 100-degree water to ensure sterilization. During the actual floor cleaning, the system also ensures that the mops maintain a temperature of over 40 degrees, which is scientifically proven to be more effective at dissolving grease stains, footprints, and dried spills on stone floors. The mops also lift automatically 21.5 millimeters when the machine drives onto carpets to avoid moisture damage.
What is meant by Complete?
Complete-the suffix in the title is exactly the same here as with Roborock; you get a generous set of extra accessories – a total of two extra vacuum bags, a set of rollers, a brush, two filters, and four mop pads. These can, of course, be purchased separately, but it feels very premium to have an extra set of everything; after all, no robot is maintenance-free, and the app keeps track for you when it’s time for a replacement. Although you practically pay for this in the premium price, it still provides a very nice feeling of trouble-free operation over a long period.

Any downsides then?
As mentioned, the overall impression of the package is very, very positive; for me, this is the most complete robot vacuum to date.
But there are still small flaws.
First off is the price point; with a price tag approaching just under 17,000 kronor, this is a significant investment for most. But you get what you pay for, as they say.
Secondly, the precision from the extended bionic arms means the robot cleans more methodically, and thus slower, than the industry standard (approximately 0.64 meters per minute). But I think it’s worth it – especially since you can schedule cleaning for the middle of the day when most people aren’t home.
Thirdly, despite their impressive ability to identify over 320 objects, the AI cameras and 3D laser sometimes struggle to interpret extremely high-gloss floors or mirrors (something inherited from last year’s Aqua). An optical illusion can occur on reflective surfaces, which in rare cases can lead to it missing small obstacles or getting stuck.

Another noted phenomenon is that the advanced chassis lift sensor can occasionally become oversensitive on very thin textile rugs. The robot may then incorrectly maintain a ground clearance that is too high, which unfortunately impairs the suction’s effectiveness. This is possibly something that future software updates can resolve – something we hope for – but it still needs to be mentioned in its current state. And finally, the app, Dreamehome, should be mentioned. Despite extensive customization options, the interface occasionally feels cluttered, difficult to navigate, and overloaded with submenus, which can create an unnecessarily steep learning curve for the average user.
Conclusion
Is the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete worth the massive price premium compared to the X60 Ultra? The answer is – it depends. The Pro model is clearly a better and more capable robot vacuum with more features that you will love. Whether these features alone justify the extra seven thousand kronor is hard for me to answer for everyone, but I actually think so. There has been a significantly reduced need to manually clean with a cordless stick vacuum after the robot has done its rounds, and even if it requires some adjustment to the mapped floor plan and optimization, the result is also noticeably better than before.
If your home mainly consists of threshold-free, open parquet floors, this is overkill; in that case, you can easily go for a smaller and simpler model and thus save thousands. But if you have a residence with high thresholds, thick carpets, pets (or many long-haired individuals), and geometrically difficult corners, there are currently few other machines that offer the same uncompromising physical capacity.
This feels like a genuine paradigm shift for autonomous cleaning.
