Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones)<\/strong> and her friends are conducting research aimed at developing a method to mitigate tornadoes. They devise an experiment for real-world testing, which unfortunately results in a catastrophic failure. Years later, Kate has transitioned to a secure office job, removing herself from fieldwork. However, she is contacted by a former colleague, compelling her to reluctantly abandon her comfort zone and return to storm chasing. There, she encounters Tyler (Glen Powell)<\/strong>, a Youtuber, and it gradually becomes apparent that her initial understanding of the situation is incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original Twister<\/strong> film, starring Bill Paxton<\/strong> and Helen Hunt<\/strong>, premiered in 1996. Its impressive special effects and engaging narrative contributed to its success. Discussions about a sequel have been ongoing for many years, but progress stalled. Following Bill Paxton’s passing in 2017, plans for a reunion of the original cast were abandoned. However, a sequel, titled Twisters<\/em>, was eventually announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glen Powell (Hit Man<\/a><\/strong>), a rising star, and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing<\/a><\/strong>), a highly capable actress, headline the cast. The plot maintains a straightforward and somewhat conventional structure. The primary distinction from the first film lies in the heroine’s initial association with a more technologically advanced group, as opposed to the passionate, unconventional individuals associated with Powell’s character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dolby Atmos<\/strong> sound is equally impressive, particularly during a scene where the protagonists seek refuge in a pool. The tornado’s roar is convincingly powerful. The disc also features supplementary materials, including a commentary track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, Twisters<\/em> provides engaging entertainment, and its UHD presentation offers a compelling audiovisual experience. However, the script’s simplicity and predictability are a drawback. A more refined script could have significantly elevated the overall rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
