Upon receiving the G733<\/strong> Lightspeed Wireless<\/strong> gaming headphones from Logitech<\/strong>, the initial impression was dominated by the somewhat questionable aesthetics of the color scheme. The combination of light purple with dark blue\/purple earcup elements may not appeal to all users. Fortunately, the headphones are available in alternative colors. The specific test sample received was, subjectively speaking, the least appealing in terms of color (a sentiment echoed by several colleagues).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of the box, the Logitech<\/strong> G733 immediately strikes you as lightweight and streamlined compared to many other gaming headsets. After placing them on charge, anticipation built for performance testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While charging, the detachable microphone was examined. Its rubberized construction allows for flexible positioning to achieve optimal distance from the user’s mouth. The G733 utilizes a wireless dongle, sharing the same color as the headphones. The dongle’s build feels robust and its size prevents easy misplacement. Initial testing began by connecting the dongle to a Macbook Pro<\/strong>, which recognized the headphones without issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During playback of the standardized test track, “The Other Side”<\/strong> from the Greatest Showman<\/a>, two aspects stood out. First<\/strong>, the clarity and crispness of the audio. Second<\/strong>, the depth and pleasantness of the bass response. The audio experience delivered by these lightweight headphones is commendable; their presence is barely noticeable. The integrated RGB lighting provides a stylish aesthetic enhancement. Volume adjustment is easily achieved via the dial located on the left earcup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The microphone can be easily connected, and a dedicated, tactile button on the rear of the left earcup controls its activation. The button’s ridged surface allows for easy identification. An audible signal within the headphones confirms microphone status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To evaluate performance in a gaming environment, the headphones were connected to the editorial team’s Playstation 4 Pro<\/a><\/strong> and tested with Outriders<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/font>. Communication with other players was clear, though the microphone’s effective range is somewhat limited. For streaming purposes on platforms like Twitch<\/a>, a dedicated microphone is recommended. The audio synchronization with on-screen action was tight, with no discernible lag \u2013 a key benefit of wireless headsets utilizing a dedicated Wi-Fi dongle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A minor drawback was the occasional prominence of high frequencies, without options for equalization adjustment. While not a significant issue, this does slightly detract from the overall audio quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, the Logitech G733 offers a lightweight and comfortable gaming experience with commendable audio performance. The black and white color variants, paired with the RGB lighting, offer a more refined aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
