However, in recent years, EA appears to have taken the lead in innovation, while Konami’s development has seemed less pronounced, both within the PES series and across other franchises. PES 2020<\/strong>, incorporating the current buzzword eFootball<\/strong> into its title, presents a somewhat mixed experience. It offers notable strengths, but also some significant shortcomings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Konami is actively releasing patches (three updates were deployed during the review period), but significant improvements are needed in PES 2021<\/strong> to maintain its competitive position. Currently, the game’s increasing similarity to FIFA risks diluting its unique identity.
